Violence on the Streets of Bahrain

Street clashes in Bahrain as heightened unrest could undermine new efforts for reform. The violence has clouded the atmosphere around talks that started February 10th between the mostly Shi'ite Muslim opposition and the Sunni Muslim-dominated government. The talks are aimed at finding a way out of the impasse over Shi'ite demands for more democracy. The outcry on Saturday followed the funeral of a teenager the opposition says was killed in clashes Thursday.
