Michael D. Pitman covers government news, including police and fire, for Middletown, Monroe and Madison Twp.

He also enjoys telling features about people, and the interesting lives they have led. He was born and raised in the Greater Cincinnati area. Pitman graduated from Wyoming High School and earned my B.A. from the College of Mount St. Joseph.

He also has a Masters in Sport Administration from Xavier. He has a twin brother, an older brother and older sister. He lives on the west side of Cincinnati with his wife, Christy, and daughter, Emma.

Lately, he's taken an interest in fiction writing and has dabbled in that for about a year. He is always trying to learn something new in his craft, and has a desire to be constantly learning new things.
