Talawanda's softball team has been disappointed in its showing this season, but the team put together a nice run in the last full week of the regular season last week, winning three of four.
And, they scored 50 runs — yes, 50 — in those three wins.

The week was capped by a non-league 9-0 win over the Franklin County, Ind., Wildcats on May 1.
The Braves jumped to a 4-0 lead boosted by a three-run homer by Ashlie Villarreal in the first inning.
Addressing her team after the win, coach Melissa Metzger told her players, "Nice job. It was a total team win. I'm lovin' it."
She was loving the win because it was the third one last week and made their overall season record 9-14.
The Braves had already secured fourth place in the Fort Ancient Valley Conference's Scarlet Division with a 4-6 record.
"I am pleased with how well we have played recently. We cut down on the errors. We put ourselves in contention," Metzger said. "Tonight was a good indicator of how we want to finish the season."
The other wins last week were a pair of victories over FAVC Scarlet foe Norwood, 27-1, at Norwood on April 28 and a 14-0 win over Norwood in Oxford on April 30.
The lone loss last week was 8-0 at West Carrollton in a nonleague game.
The team added yet another win Monday, May 5, topping Valley View by a score of 20-10 to make their season record 10-14.
The team will open tournament play at home Tuesday, May 13, hosting Clinton-Massie at 5 p.m. The Braves were seeded sixth of 11 teams for the Division II Dayton sectional.
Talawanda will play its final regular-season game at Eaton at 4:30 p.m. today, May 9, in preparation for their tournament game Tuesday.
