Mount Notre Dame offers Softball Camp
Mount Notre Dame Softball head coach, Jackie Cornelius, and her staff will be conducting the Cougar Softball Skills Camp. The camp will be run by current and former College and Professional players and coaches, ensuring that each camper receives the highest quality instruction available in the area.
Extras
The camp will focus on all areas of Fastpitch. Offensive skills to be covered include hitting, bunting, slapping, base running. Defensive areas will focus on both infield and outfield skills. Special drills for pitchers and catchers will also be available.
The Camp will be held at Mount Notre Dame High School on June 9-10. Cost includes a camp T-shirt.
Session One is for those girls entering grades 3-6 in the fall, from 9 a.m. to noon.
Session Two is for those girls entering grades 7-12 in the fall, from 1 to 4 p.m.

Cincinnati United Soccer holding tryouts
The new Cincinnati United Soccer Club will be holding tryouts from May 18 to June 8. Cincinnati United has been created from the merger of Lakota United, Sycamore Arsenal and Cincinnati United Premier (CUP), in conjunction with the Columbus Crew of Major League Soccer. Cincinnati United is the only area affiliate of the Crew. Tryouts will be held for all Competitive levels, inclusive of ages U8 to U18. Premier (CUP) tryouts will be held for the ages of U11 to U18. XBA-AAU Basketball sets tryouts
XBA-AAU will have tryouts for summer and fall basketball May 22, May 27 and May 29 at Sports Plus on Reading Road in Evendale. You must contact the XBA Hotline to get registered at (513) 503-3236 or email coachdarroll@msn.com.
The following dates and times have been set for tryouts and registrations for boys and girls teams:
Thursday, May 22: 7-8:15 p.m. for boys in grades 5-7; 8:15-9:30 p.m. for boys in grades 8-9.
May 27: 7-8 p.m. for girls in grades 6-7; 8 p.m. for girls in grades 8-9.
May 29: 7-8:15 p.m. for girls in grades 10-11; 8:15-10 p.m. for boys in grades 10-11.
Cost is $600 for the total of two seasons (summer/fall). If you make a team, registration and fees are due the night of tryouts. Leagues will be played at Sports Plus in Evendale and some will play at Courts 4 Sports in Mason with tournaments.
