McKennon, Soto lead Dragons to 4-2 victory

MIDLAND, Mich. — Michael McKennon had three hits, and Neftali Soto added two as the Dayton Dragons defeated the Great Lakes Loons 4-2 on Wednesday, Aug. 13.

Curtis Partch (4-9) pitched five innings and got the win. He was relieved by Jeff Jeffords, who threw the final four innings for his fourth save.

The Class A teams combined to leave 16 runners on base. Dayton struck with two runs in the second inning and added one apiece in the fourth and fifth. The Dragons were aided by four Great Lakes errors.

The series continues at 7:05 p.m. today.
