Anderson has quick return to practice

BEREA — Browns starting quarterback Derek Anderson made an appearance on the practice field Tuesday, Aug, 26, his first since suffering a concussion Aug. 18 in a preseason game versus the New York Giants.
He did some throwing at the beginning of practice while wearing his helmet, but he left the field once team drills began.
Brady Quinn again took snaps with the first-team offense and is expected to start Thursday night in the preseason finale against the Chicago Bears.
Head coach Romeo Crennel said it is unlikely Anderson will play.
• Wide receiver Joe Jurevicius will miss the first six weeks of the regular season while he recovers from knee surgery.
Jurevicius, who was placed on the physically-unable-to-perform list, had 50 catches for 614 yards and three touchdowns last year.
He was expected to have a reduced role this season as the Browns' offense as the No. 3 receiver behind wide Braylon Edwards and Donte' Stallworth.
