Bombers sign goaltender

FAIRBORN — The Dayton Bombers announced the signing of goaltender Dan McWhinney, who recently played in the Central Hockey League with the Amarillo Gorillas, where he appeared in a career-high 48 games, compiling a 16-24-6 record with a 3.81 goals against average and .888 save percentage.
The Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, native spent the 2006-07 season with the Fort Wayne Komets of the then United Hockey League and was 9-3-1 and had a 3.11 GAA and .900 save percentage.
