Location & description
Located in Trotwood. The area, once cleared of old forest to make way for farmland, is being reforested, but plenty of open meadows still remain.
Camping:
- Group areas are available to organized groups on a reservation basis
- Group Camp "A" - basic sleeping shelters, restrooms, grill, large barn with electric, wheelchair accessible
- Group Camp "B" - cabin, open shelter with electric service, restroom, fire ring, picnic tables
- Both sites "A" and "B" have large areas for tent camping.
- 15-site horseman's camp has primitive campin, latrines, water, tie-ups
- Horseman's camp is on a first-come, first-served basis with self-registration required
Fishing & hunting:
- Hunting permitted on nearly 1,500 acres of park land with outstanding squirrel and deer hunting opportunities
- Fish species include bass, bluegill, and catfish
- Stream fishing in Wolf Creek
- Valid Ohio fishing and/or hunting license is required
Boating:
- Hand-power boating only
- Canoes and rowboats are suitable for the park's quiet waters
Picnic areas:
- Picnic areas available with tables and grills
- Overlook Picnic Area offers a grand picnic shelter with doors and two large fireplaces making it available for year-round use. May be reserved available February 1 until November 30 or on first-come first-serve basis
Trails:
- 3-mile Ghost Hedge Nature Trail explores the Wolf Creek Valley
- 1.5-mile Beech Ridge Trail explores the surrounding woodlots and meadows
- Additional trail connects these two trails to create 8 miles of hiking
- Horsemen can enjoy 15 miles of bridle trail, including the snowmobile routes when not snow covered
