Location & description:
Madison Lake is small and peaceful area lying within the vast Darby Plains of Ohio.
Boating:
- Ideal for sailboats, row boats and canoes
- Launch ramp provided
- Electric motors only are permitted on the lake
Fishing & hunting:
- Fish species include bass, bluegill, crappie, channel catfish and bullhead
- North end of the lake is a designated hunting area for migratory game birds only
- Valid Ohio fishing and/or hunting license required
Picnic areas:
- Picnic areas with shelterhouses available
- Tables, grills, playground and latrines provided
- Shelterhouses are available on a first-come, first-served basis
Trails:
- 1/2-mile hiking trail through woodlands and along the lakeshore
Swimming:
- 300-foot sand beach
- Changing booths and latrines provided
