OXFORD — Six opponents who reached the NCAA tournament, including a Frozen Four rematch with Bemidji (Minn.) State, highlight the 2009-10 Miami University hockey schedule that was released Tuesday, May 26.

Besides the Beavers, the RedHawks, who reached the Frozen Four for the first time in school history and finished as national runners-up last season, also face off against NCAA tournament teams North Dakota, New Hampshire, Michigan, Ohio State and Notre Dame.

In addition to Bemidji State, North Dakota and New Hampshire, the RedHawks’ nonconference slate also includes St. Cloud State and Robert Morris.

“We are extremely excited about our schedule,” Miami coach Enrico Blasi said in a release. “The league schedule is always tough. Our nonconference schedule will give us an opportunity, but be a challenge at the same time — I believe one that will make us better.”

Miami will play home-and-home Central Collegiate Hockey Association series against Ohio State, Ferris State and Western Michigan.

The CCHA schedule features home series vs. Michigan State, Ferris State, Notre Dame, Western Michigan, Lake Superior State and Nebraska-Omaha.
