Miami hockey blanks Western Michigan 3-0

KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Top-ranked Miami scored two short-handed goals Friday night en route to a 3-0 win over Western Michigan in Central Collegiate Hockey Association play.

Andy Miele scored twice and Tommy Wingels added a single tally for Miami (9-1-3 overall, 6-1-2 CCHA). The Broncos are 5-5-1, 1-5-1. Curtis Mackenzie and Jarod Palmer added assists and goaltender Cody Reichard made 15 saves for the shutout for Miami, which wraps up the weekend series against WMU tonight.
