Miami blanks No. 15 Michigan State
EAST LANSING, Mich. — The Miami University hockey team completed a two-game series sweep of 15th-ranked Michigan State on Saturday night, blanking the Spartans 4-0 at Munn Ice Arena.
Connor Knapp made 20 saves to earn the shutout for the RedHawks (11-9-2, 7-7-2-1 Central College Hockey Association). MSU fell to 11-9-2, 6-7-1-1.
Alden Hirschfeld and Blake Coleman both had goals and assists and Cameron Schilling had two helpers for Miami. Reilly Smith and Tyler Biggs also scored goals for the RedHawks, who return to the ice Friday night at Lake Superior State University.
