TALAWANDA SEEKING COACHES: Talawanda High School is currently seeking coaching applicants for junior varsity girls basketball and varsity softball. Contact athletic director Chris Weaver at weaverc@talawanda.org or (513) 273-3205.

WOMEN’S GOLF CLINIC EVERY TUESDAY: There will be a clinic for women from 6 to 7 p.m. every Tuesday at McGee’s Teaching Center and Golf Range. For more information, call the pro shop at (513) 422-0837.

LAKOTA WEST HOLDING QUARTERBACK CAMP: Lakota West’s football program will host a Quarterback Camp on July 2-3. Terry Copacia, who has 30 years of high school coaching experience, will direct the camp, which costs $185 and will be at the West practice field. Registration is at 8:30 a.m. on July 2, and the camp runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day. For more information, contact West football coach Larry Cox at (513) 874-5699.

MAGYC GOLF COMPETITION SERIES BEGINS: The Middletown Area Golf for Youth Council will hold three more junior golf competitions this summer. Event dates are July 2, 9 and 16. Cost is $7 for the July 9 event and $12 (includes lunch) for the July 2 and 16 events. Each event is individual stroke play. Boys and girls age groups are as follows: 10 and under, 11-12, 13-14 and 15 and over. Registration is by mail only, and forms can be downloaded at www.magyc.org. Tee times will be posted on the Web site 48 hours prior to each event.

MHS YOUTH VOLLEYBALL CAMP JULY 6: The Middletown Youth Girls Volleyball Camp for girls entering grades 2-7 will be held July 6-10 in the high school gym. Cost is $20 per camper or $30 for two siblings. To register, call coach Adkins at (513) 320-6273, or send an e-mail to mark@woodlanrealtors.com. There will also be an open gym from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on July 9 for high school players including incoming freshmen.

FENWICK GIRLS SOCCER CAMP IN JULY: A soccer camp for girls ages 8-14 will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on July 6-9 at Fenwick High School. Players from the 2008 Division II state champion Falcons, as well as former players, will help with instruction. Cost is $50 per player. MIDLIFE SOFTBALL LEAGUE IN WEST CHESTER: MidLife Softball, a men’s 35-and-over softball league, will begin its third season of play in July in West Chester. The league will play on Mondays beginning July 6 at Keehner Park on Barret Road. The league will expand to Tuesday nights if enough teams join. THS SEEKING HALL NOMINATIONS: Talawanda High School is seeking nominations for the Class of 2009 Athletic Hall of Fame. Those wishing to nominate an individual should pick up a nomination for outside the high school athletic department. MIDDLETOWN FOOTBALL GOLF SCRAMBLE: The Middletown High School football program will hold a golf scramble on July 10 at Weatherwax Golf Course. Cost is $85 per player, or $340 per foursome, which includes 18 holes, cart, range balls, lunch, beverages and door prizes. There will be a shotgun start at noon. NORTHWEST LANES HOSTING SAND VOLLEYBALL TOURNEY: Hot Shots Volleyball will host a sand volleyball tournament Saturday, July 11, at Northwest Lanes. Games begin at 9 a.m., and the cost is $10 per person. For more information, call Kara at (513) 307-4389.

FENWICK FOOTBALL CAMP IN JULY: Fenwick High School will conduct two sessions of a football camp in July. The first session is for players in grades 3-6 and is for the fundamentals of football. It will run from 10 a.m. to noon on July 13-15. The second session is for players in grades 7-8. It is a skills camp and will run from 6 to 8 p.m. on July 13-15. Cost is $50 per session. FENWICK VOLLEYBALL CAMP IN JULY: A volleyball camp will be held at Fenwick High School this July. There will be three sessions running from July 13-16. The first session is for girls in grades 3-5 and will be held from noon to 2 p.m. The second session is for girls grades 6-7 and will be held from 2:15 to 4:45 p.m. The third session is for girls in the eighth grade and will run from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Cost for the first session is $50. YOUTH VOLLEYBALL CLINIC SET: A volleyball clinic, for youth in grades 7-9, will be held from 8 a.m. to noon July 15-17 at the Hamilton Freshman School. Cost is $30 per person. OXFORD JUNIOR OPEN GOLF TOURNAMENT: The Oxford Junior Open Golf Tournament will be held July 27 at Indian Ridge Golf Club. Entry fee is $35, which includes green fees and lunch. Deadline to register is July 17. No phone entries will be accepted. Start time will be 9 a.m. for each of the four age divisions. The 12 and under division will play nine holes, while ages 13-14, 15-16 and 17-18 will each play 18 holes. Trophies for medalist and runners-up will be awarded in each division.
