OXFORD — The Ross-Talawanda high school football game has been postponed to tonight, Oct. 24, after the stadium lights failed to come on at Bowers Field on Friday night.
“We had an electrical issue out here, a big one,” Talawanda Athletic Director Chris Weaver said.
The game, which never started, has been rescheduled for 7:30 p.m. today at Ross’ Robinson Field.
Weaver had hoped to get the electrical issue resolved so the game could be played in Oxford tonight, but made the call late Friday to move the game to the Rams’ home field.
Admission will be free, Weaver said.
The game is key for Ross, which still is in the hunt for a Division II state playoff berth.
The Rams, who are 4-4 overall and 2-1 in the Fort Ancient Valley Conference Scarlet Division, are eighth in Region 8 in the Harbin computer ratings. The top eight teams in each region make the playoffs.
The Braves are 1-7, 1-2.
