The Cincinnati Bengals are in first place and riding high with a 4-1 record, but being above .500 through five games doesn’t exactly guarantee anything. This is the seventh time it’s happened since 1988. Only three of those seasons contained playoff appearances.

Let me refresh your memory. I am not old enough to remember pre-Bengals Ohio but oh that would be a fond memory of mine. I am old enough to remember 3 AFC Championship games in the 80's.I wear my Browns gear win or lose, I would say that about half your fanbase cannot make this claim. Where were all the Bengals jerseys last year in Southern Ohio? Oh and not to mention the fact that at 4-1 you still cannot sell out home games how pathetic is that.
