AARP Driver Safety class, Nov. 12, 1 to  5 p.m., Epiphany Lutheran Church, 6430 Far Hills Ave., Washington Twp. Cost is $12 for AARP members, $14 for others. Bring AARP membership card to class. To register, call (937) 433-1449.

NOVEMBER 14

BMX Clinic and trial race, 3 to 7 p.m., BMX track, 16 Edmund St. (off Troy Street), Dayton. For new and experienced riders. Requires long-sleeved shirt, long pants,  helmet and bike. Learn to jump, manual, take turns. Costs $50 for new riders (includes one-year ABA membership, BMX magazine subscription, trial race), $25 for current ABA members (includes race fee). DECEMBER 5

40th annual Banquet of Champions of Dayton Auto Racing Fan Club, doors open at 5:30 p.m., Celebrations Banquet Center (formerly Haer’s Party House), 3119 Stop  Eight Road, Butler Twp. Nearly 50 track champions will be honored along with induction of inductees into the second annual DARF Hall of Fame. Cash bar, no carry-in beverages.  Tickets available for $25 each.
