The Oxford Summer Music Festival will continue Thursday, June 25, with a performance by Saffire Express at the John W. Altman Performance Pavilion in the Uptown Park.

The contemporary pop, rock, oldies, country and classics band has been a mainstay in local music for the past 17 years and appeals to all ages.

This marks the band’s first year as part of the Oxford Summer Music Festival.

The group consists of Dana Geroulis on lead vocals and percussion; Sam Geroulis on vocals, rhythm, guitar and percussion; Tom Horst on keyboards and saxophone; Pat Emmett on drums and vocals; Russ Murphy on bass guitar and vocals; Steve Withersby on lead guitar and vocals; Dan Glassmeyer on saxophone; Steve Maggis on trumpet; and Don Hudson on trombone.

The concert is the second of 11 free concerts that will take place from 7:30 to 10 p.m. Thursday evenings throughout the summer.

Sponsors of this week’s concert include Cox Ohio Publishing/The Oxford Press, Fifth Third Bank, State Farm Insurance and The Knolls of Oxford.
