Three bands coming to Brickstreet bar

Love and Theft, Wale with special guest Chiddy Bang and Luke Bryan slated.

OXFORD — Local music lovers won’t need to leave the city to hear music as three popular bands are lined up to perform at Brickstreet Bar and Grill at 36 E. High St.

Love and Theft, Wale with special guest Chiddy Bang and finally, Luke Bryan will perform in separate shows this spring.

Love and Theft will be the first to perform at Oxford’s own Brickstreet Bar and Grill at 8 p.m. March 18. Tickets for this performance are on sale for $12 now at Brickstreet or online at brickstreetbar.com.

The Ryan Broshear Band will be opening for Love and Theft and are a native Oxford band.

Love and Theft have toured with people such as Taylor Swift. Swift’s song titled “Hey Stephen” is even about one of the singers of Love and Theft, Stephen Barker Liles.

They are famous for songs such as “Runaway,” which reached the top 10 of the country charts, and have been compared to the Eagles and Rascal Flatts. They are currently touring with Tim McGraw, but are breaking away for a special appearance at Brickstreet.

Wale and Chiddy Bang will be performing

Tickets go on sale at the bar and online March 15 for $20.

Wale has made a huge name for himself in the hip-hop scene and became famous with his video, “Chillin,” featuring Lady Gaga.

Wale has been compared to Kanye West and is known for being a great lyricist. He will bring a full, 8-piece band with him to Brickstreet.

The opening act, Chiddy Bang, is a duo from Philadelphia and will be playing a full set.

Luke Bryan

Finally, on April 27, Luke Bryan will perform.

Tickets go on sale on March 15 and are $20 in advance, and $25 at the door. Tickets can be purchased both at Brickstreet and online.

Luke Bryan returns to Oxford after two previously sold-out shows at Brickstreet, kicking off a full scale headlining tour.

Bryan was made famous by songs such as, “All My Friends Say,” “Country Man,” “We Rode In Trucks,” and his latest “Do I,” which held the No. 1 spot on the country charts for 7 weeks.

Brickstreet has been working on this concert for over a year is very excited that Bryan chose here to kick off his tour.
