OXFORD — Choral groups from Miami University, Talawanda High School and Oxford Seniors will perform at a “Spring Sing” intergenerational concert and community dinner at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 25, at the Oxford Community Arts Center.
“Last year, Miami University and Oxford Seniors entered into a formal affiliation to encourage interaction among generations and foster goodwill,” said Tom Poetter, director of Miami’s Partnership Office.
The community dinner is the latest in a series of events that is accomplishing that goal.
Tickets, which include the concert and a buffet dinner provided by Miami’s Carillon Catering, are $15 a person.
Tickets must be purchased in advance and are available at Oxford Seniors, at 922 Tollgate Drive. For more information, call (513) 523-8100.
Groups appearing at the community event include Fermata Nowhere, a Talawanda High School a cappella group; the Cheezies, Miami’s premiere male a cappella ensemble; and Oxford Seniors’ Show Choir.
Michaela Mondro, a Miami senior majoring in voice, is directing the Oxford Seniors Show Choir.
They will perform a Rogers and Hammerstein medley at “Spring Sing.”
“Michaela is awesome and has so much to offer,” said Joan Potter-Sommer, executive director of Oxford Seniors.
