Specialty stores hope to scare up Halloween shoppers

With a week left until Halloween, specialty stores that have popped up in the area for the holiday will have extra hours for shoppers.

And for those who want to start early for next year, the same stores offer closing sales after Oct. 31.

Halloween City

Where: 7341 Tylers 
Corner Place, West 
Chester Twp.

Hours: 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 
7 p.m. Sundays and 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Mondays and Tuesdays

Specials hours: 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Wednesday through Friday, Oct. 27-29.

Closing sale: The last day of business is Nov. 1, with a 50 percent off sale.

Halloween Express

Where: 7664 Voice of America Centre Drive, West Chester Twp.

Hours: 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sundays and 10 a.m. to 
10 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays

Closing sale: The last day of business will be Nov. 2 or 3, with a 50 percent closing sale beginning Nov. 1, said Gary Kathman, a partner in local Halloween Express market. Coupons are available at www.cincicostumes.com.

Halloween City

Where: 550 S. Locust St., Oxford

Hours: 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sundays and 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Mondays through Tuesdays

Specials hours: 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Wednesday through Friday, Oct. 27-29.

Closing sale: The last day of business is Nov. 1, with some type of sale, said Adrienne Bachman-Mueller, assistant store manager for Oxford Halloween City.

Others

Local major retailers selling costumes and decorations include the Factory Card Outlet, 3431 Princeton Road, Suite 105, Hamilton, in the Bridgewater Falls Lifestyle Shopping Center; and all Meijer locations; all 10 Kroger locations in Butler County; and all Walmart locations.
