OXFORD — This spring, Oxford will see the introduction of another new restaurant as Krishna, which serves Indian dishes fast-food style, opens on West High Street in March.

Owner Bassi Singh is hoping his new Uptown location will have the same popularity among students that he enjoys at his other spot in Clifton.

Bassi has been pleased with how well students of the nearby University of Cincinnati have taken to the concept of Krishna and chose to venture to Oxford because he believes Miami University students will also be able to appreciate the restaurant’s lower prices.

Krishna is designed to be grab-and-go, offering primarily take out and delivery. Prices at Krishna will range from $7 to $10 per dish and naan, or bread, will be sold for just $1.50 per order.

That will be a different atmosphere than another Oxford restaurant offering Indian food, Rohan Indian, at 339 Foxfire Dr. just off South Locust Street, which has dishes ranging in price from $12 to $15 each.
