The Oxford Skating Club will take the ice next weekend for their annual Holiday Ice Show at 7 p.m. Dec. 11.
The skaters, who range from beginning to advanced skills, welcome the community to the Googin Ice Center for the special team and freesytyle performances.
Performances of guest skaters and one of the Miami University Synchro Teams round off the program. Tickets will be available at the door for $5, free for children 4 and younger.
Auditions for “Quake” slated
Auditions for the Oxford Area Community Theaterproduction of “Quake,” a dramatic comedy by Melanie Marnich, directed by Meggan Ratterman, will be held at 7 p.m. Dec. 11 and at 11 a.m. Dec. 12, at the Oxford Community Arts Center.
“Quake” performance dates are Feb. 25-28.
Parts are available for five men (playing 20s to 50s) and four women (three playing mid-20s and one playing older).
“Quake” tells the story of Lucy, a young woman who crosses the country in search of love.
Those interested in auditioning should bring a prepared one-minute monologue and will be asked to read from the script.
