Miami offers free jazz concert

Miami University’s Jazz Ensemble will perform at 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 23, in Hall Auditorium on Miami’s Oxford campus.

The group is conducted by Jeremy Long, assistant professor of saxophone and jazz. The program will feature a tribute to the 70th anniversary of Blue Note Records.

This concert will feature music from Blue Note artists Wayne Shorter, Herbie Hancock, Horace Silver and others.

The concert is free and open to the public.

Marching band performs

Miami University’s Marching Band will perform its annual concert at 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 22, in Millett Hall. Stephen Lytle, conductor, will lead the band in performing feature highlights of the marching band’s performances during the football season.

The concert is free and open to the public.
