BUTLER/WARREN COUNTIES — Winds are expected to be somewhat intense through the morning, Jan. 17, and thunderstorms are likely.
Multiple area counties will see occasional showers and winds of up to 35 miles per hour into the early afternoon.
Temperatures are expected to drop as a cold front moves in and changes rain into snow. Snow showers are most likely between 9 p.m. and 3 a.m. with scattered flurries after 3 a.m.
“After the noon hour we’ll see our temperatures drop quickly,” said News Center 7 Meteorologist Rich Wirdzek.
“It’s not going to be a lot of snow so don’t expect much in the way of accumulation,” he said.
Tuesday’s high temperature is expected to be 52 degrees. The high for Wednesday is 30.
“Tomorrow will be a lot quieter,” Wirdzek said.
Scattered flurries are likely before 8 a.m. Wednesday, which will be mostly sunny.
