MIAMI VALLEY —

Area skies should remain clear and dry overnight as thunderstorms that were expected to develop near Chicago did not, Storm Center 7 Chief Meteorologist Jamie Simpson said Wednesday night.

The change in the forecast may lead to patchy fog by morning, but not a repeat of the volume of fog that was produced Wednesday morning, Simpson said.

For Thursday, the chance of spotty showers remains, with a high of 87 expected.

Humidity will finally drop as a front moves east into the area on Thursday evening.

Friday still looks to be sunny through the morning hours, with clouds arriving by day’s end. There could be some rain by the time high school football games end Friday night.

Saturday morning still looks wet, but showers likely will taper in the afternoon or at least by day’s end. Expect cooler temperatures with highs in the low 70s. Sunday will still be cool with some sun and clouds, with a stray shower possible.

Monday, expect cool weather and partly cloudy skies.
