Oxford Police Report

A male Miami University student reported to police that he had been assaulted while trying to break up an altercation between a friend and another male at a party on Oberlin Court the night of Nov. 10. The student told police that the male punched him in the face. The victim received treatment at McCullough-Hyde Memorial Hospital for facial injuries. Police said on Nov. 12 that the investigation is ongoing.

A male Miami student reported to police that he was assaulted at his residence on Poplar Street early in the morning of Nov. 8. Police found him with a bloody mouth and a missing front tooth. The suspects, according to a police report, ran into a nearby residence following the incident, entered a sleeping resident’s bedroom and then fled the house through a back door. As of Nov. 12 police were continuing to investigate.

A male Miami student was charged with domestic violence after allegedly striking a female Miami student several times in the legs, arms and face at a residence on Southpointe Parkway early in the morning of Nov. 10, according to a police report.

A male Miami student was charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs after police observed him allegedly disregarding a red light at High and Main streets early on the morning of Nov. 10

A male Miami student reported to police that the passenger-side rear main window and side window of his vehicle were smashed sometime on Nov. 10 on E. Sycamore Street.

An Oxford woman reported to police that someone broke the rear window of her car while it was parked at her residence on E. Vine St. early in the morning of Nov. 10.

A female Miami student reported to police that someone broke her front door window on S. Beech Street with an unknown object early in the morning of Nov. 7.

A male Miami student reported to police that his golf clubs were stolen from his unlocked vehicle on S. Main Street late in the afternoon of Nov. 4.

A female Miami student reported to police that someone broke a window of her house on N. Campus Ave. with a pumpkin on Nov. 4.
