OXFORD —

The Kenji Williams Ensemble performs “Bella Gaia: Beautiful Earth,” a multi-media experience featuring live musicians, dance and NASA visualizations at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 12 at the newly opened, LEED certified Talawanda High School.

“Bella Gaia” is a journey of our world as seen through the eyes of astronauts. This multimedia production was created by award-winning director and classically trained violinist Kenji Williams in collaboration with NASA and will feature a live performance by Williams and other musicians against a large-screen backdrop of photos of Earth from space.

From fires in the Amazon basin to time-lapse images of arctic ice melt, the imagery used in this production provides an astronaut’s view from space as well as earthbound visitations from Japanese temples to Egyptian pyramids.

Williams will discuss issues covered in the performance with Talawanda High School students the day before the performance.

Bella Gaia: Beautiful Earth is presented by the Miami University Performing Arts Series and is sponsored by the Oxford Chamber of Commerce and Talawanda-Miami Partnership.
