OXFORD —
The Miami University Wind Ensemble will perform a concert at 8 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 29 at 8 p.m. in Hall Auditorium, conducted by Gary A. Speck, professor of music at Miami.
Featured repertoire will include Miami premieres, works commissioned by the Wind Ensemble to include “Wind” by Chen Yi and a world premiere performance of “Mare Tranquillitatis” by Roger Zare. Additional pieces performed by the ensemble are “Millennium Canons” by Kevin Puts and two works commemorating the American West by Dan Welcher, “Arches” and “Zion.”
