Will it be a Honda or a Jag if (when) you win tonight’s Powerball?

A yacht, a mansion or jet might be high on your Powerball winnings wish list.

Nate Brookes plans to be much more practical.

The Trotwood resident, one of the most frequent Ohio Lottery players at University Shell gas station near the intersection of Dayton’s Main and Stewart streets, plans to invest.

He hasn’t gotten to the “in what” part yet.

“When I win, I’ll sit down and decide,” the 68-year-old said.

Brookes plays the lottery nearly every day, and thinks he can win.

He won $25,000 a few years ago.

With the jackpot at a record $500 million for tonight’s drawing, he’s not the only one taking a chance.

Barb Eldred won’t start living the lavish life if her numbers are called tonight. There will be no outrageous spending sprees, thank you very much.

The Fairborn resident says she will give at least 10 percent to her church, help out some family members and buy a bigger house and nicer car. She’s leaning towards a Honda Odyssey.

“If I don’t win, I hope someone wins who really needs it, like a group (of people) or (Hurricane Sandy victims) in New York or New Jersey. They really need help,” the 71-year-old University Shell Station customer said.
