OXFORD —

Tickets still are available Miami University’s football opener at Ohio State on Sept. 1.

Tickets to Urban Meyer’s coaching debut with the Buckeyes are available from Miami’s Athletic Office at (513) 529-4295 (or online), and by becoming a member of Miami’s Red & White Club and purchasing a pair of season tickets for Miami’s 2012 home games.

Fans of both schools can purchase as many as six tickets for the clash between the Buckeyes and the RedHawks.

The deadline for Miami-Ohio State game ticket purchases expires on Wednesday, Aug. 15.

Tickets can be purchased in the following ways:

• All fans desiring to purchase Ohio State tickets must purchase at least two Miami season tickets, priced between $70 and $90, for all five games.

• By joining Miami’s Red & White Club: An RWC donation between $100 and $249 allows the opportunity to purchase two OSU-Miami game tickets. An RWC donation between $250 and $499 allows the opportunity to purchase four OSU-Miami game tickets. An RWC donation of $500 or more allows the opportunity to purchase six OSU-Miami game tickets.

Fans who are unable to attend any of Miami’s five home games in 2012 can donate their tickets to the MiamiCARES!, a ticket donation program designed to ensure donated game tickets are given free of charge to financially, physically or emotionally challenged youth in Miami’s Tri-County area.

Fans wishing to participate can inform the Athletic Ticket Office of their inability to attend a game and their subsequent desire to donate their unused tickets. The ticket office ideally asks for a notification of the donations at least a week beforehand, but tickets will be accepted and donated as close as 48 hours prior to game day.

Anyone interested in the MiamiCARES! program can contact the Athletic Ticket Office at 1 (866) 684-2957.
