UNION TWP. —

Jungle Jim’s International Market plans to hold a job fair next week for its soon-to-open Eastgate location.

The event is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at Union Township Civic Center, 4350 Aicholtz Road, Union Twp., to fill between 300 and 400 positions at the new location, which is scheduled to open Sept. 25.

The 212,000-square-foot store on 4450 Eastgate South Drive, Union Twp. is hiring for position in 18 different areas, including everything from seafood, deli, bakery and produce to cashiers, security, greeters and floral, said Jungle Jim’s spokeswoman Debby Hartinger.

Those with or without experience may apply for a position, providing they can work weekends and evenings.

“Our plan is to interview everyone who comes, that’s why we’re having it two days,” Hartinger said. “I can’t guarantee that because I don’t know how many people are going to show up but as much as we can, we’re going to interview everyone.”

Attendees are asked to bring completed job application with them. Applications are available at www.junglejims.com.

Jungle Jim’s, which got its start on Ohio 4 in Fairfield in 1974 as a small produce stand, announced in October 2010 that it had decided to open a second location in Union Twp. at the former site of a Bigg’s grocery store.
