First Baptist Church at 6701 Ringwood Road will have a lunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. today.

The menu includes barbecued ribs and fish for a donation of $8.

MUSIC

School concert set for Wednesday

McGuffey Foundation School will perform an end-of-year concert at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in the pavilion at Memorial Park.

Laurie Traveline Neyer, music teacher for the school, will share with the community songs the students have been singing all year.

The concert also will feature a few musical selections by the preschool group, led by Elizabeth Taylor.

YOUTH BASKETBALL

Buffet Saturday at LaRosa’s

Oxford Youth Basketball will host an all- you-can-eat buffet fundraiser Saturday at LaRosa’s from 6 p.m. to closing time.

The cost is $12 per person. There will be raffle prizes with the drawing at 10 p.m.

Relay for Life breakfast Saturday

An all-you-can-eat French toast and pancake breakfast will be from 7 to 11 a.m. on Saturday at Oxford LaRosa’s with 100 percent of the proceeds going to benefit Relay for Life.

Prices are $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and younger. Children younger than 2 can eat for free.

Members of the LaRosa’s Lappers and Dogs and the Best Friends teams will serve the breakfast.

Church fish fry set for today

A fish fry will be at Bethel AME Church today from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and from 4 to 7 p.m.

Service includes fish, macaroni and cheese, green beans, coleslaw and a roll for $8.

REUNION

THS Class of 1992 to meet Aug. 4

Talawanda’s Class of 1992 will host its 20-year reunion Aug. 4.

Participants will get together for an informal gathering at Stadium Bar from 8 p.m. to midnight Aug. 3.

The reunion will be from 7 p.m. to midnight the following evening at Miami University’s Marcum Center.

Braves to host girls camp June 18-21

The Talawanda Girls Basketball Camp will be June 18-21 from 9:30 a.m. to noon at the new high school gym. The fee is $60.

The camp will give players the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of the game while having fun playing basketball.

Kids Fair at Walmart Saturday

Walmart will host a Kids Fair from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.

The event will feature games and fun activities for kids and families, and there also will be attractions from the fire and police departments.

All money raised will be donated to the Children’s Miracle Network and will go to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital.

Free open house set for June 10

There will be a free open house with an outdoor garden model railroad at Oxford Country Club from 1 to 6 p.m. June 10, located at 111 Country Club Drive.

The city of Oxford Fire Department recently received a federal grant for the purchase of photoelectric smoke detectors, which city residents can have for free, available on a first-come, first-served basis.

The McCullough-Hyde Memorial Hospital Auxiliary invites the community to its medical uniforms sale from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursday in the main lobby of the hospital.

Miami University athletics and the Miami University Alumni Association will sponsor a stop on the Coaches Caravan, a series of free events for fans to meet RedHawk coaches and get the inside scoop, in Oxford at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Oxford Summer Music Festival Concert.

Students can explore architecture and design at STEM Summer Camp at McGuffey Foundation School, to be from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. June 18-22.

Any student who has completed grades three through seven can participate.
