Butler County Sheriff’s deputies captured a man today who walked away from a work detail in Warren County, last week.

Zackary T. Raybourne, 18, was arrested around 4:30 a.m. while walking the railroad tracks near Maple Avenue in Hamilton. Raybourne had not returned from a work detail on July 2 while staying at a drug treatment and community corrections center run by Talbert House for offenders in Warren, Butler and Clermont counties, according to Warren County Sheriff Larry Sims. The center is located at 5234 W. Ohio 63 in Turtlecreek Twp.

Raybourne was spotted in Somerville, looking for a ride to Hamilton late Sunday evening, said Butler County Sheriff Sgt. Monte Mayer. Deputies checked multiple addresses in the Somerville area as well as Preble County. Two locations were checked in Hamilton and deputies learned they were about 30 minutes behind Raybourne, who had just left an address on South 11th Street. Raybourne was apprehended without incident and taken to the Butler County Jail, Mayer said.

Sims said he was not sure why the public was not alerted to Raybourne’s disappearance last week.
