By Staff

OXFORD —

Pamela Collins, President of the United Way of Oxford and Vicinity, has announced that Maureen Kranbuhl, executive director, will retire in February, 2013, after the current United Way Campaign has concluded.

Since assuming the executive director position in 2004, Kranbuhl has overseen a reorganization of the annual campaign structure and directed eight successful campaigns in which financial goals have been achieved or exceeded.

“Maureen’s motivational skills, her enthusiasm and commitment to improving the lives of residents in our United

Way service area, have been inspirational in attracting others to strongly support our United Way, ” Collins said.

Kranbuhl has worked closely with more than 20 local social service agency leaders and has participated on community teams responsible for initiating the Oxford Free Medical Clinic, the Oxford Area Assistance Coalition for the homeless, the school supply initiative and the First Tee program.

She helped restore 2-1-1 service in Butler County and to provide the IRS’s Earned Income Tax Credit initiative to qualified employees in Oxford.

Kranbuhl will be honored at the 2013 annual meeting on Feb. 26. Plans to recruit a new executive director are underway, according to Collins.
