SPRINGFIELD —

An intoxicated man was arrested by deputies at gunpoint Tuesday night after he called 911 and said family members would not give him his bullets.

According to a Springfield police report, Timothy E. Neely, 22, told 911 dispatchers he was drinking alcohol, and when he awoke from a nap, learned his remaining alcohol had been poured down the drain. Neely told dispatchers he owned a pistol, and his dad and fiance would not give him his bullets, according to the report.

He also said President Barack Obama would not take his gun.

Dispatchers told Neely to put the gun down prior to deputies arrival. According to the report, deputies arrived on scene and ordered Neely at gunpoint multiple times to show his hands.
