A Butler County company aims to provide whatever is needed for commercial and residential customers during both good and challenging times.

Premier Restoration & Mechanical Services started as a heating and cooling company but now provides a number of services, including disaster recovery and property restoration. Services include fire and water damage clean up and restoration, mold removal, remodeling and full construction and contracting services for residential, commercial and industrial properties.

Heating and cooling services includes installation and maintenance for all types of furnaces, heat pumps, geothermal and cooling systems.

Fire and water restoration includes those services, plus structural drying and the ability to test lead paint and lead paint abatement through the Environmental Protection Agency.

In addition, PRMS renovates living environments for local retirement villages, including all aspects of construction.

The company, which is located at 1912 Oxford State Road in Middletown, serves both commercial and residential customers in a 75-mile radius within Ohio.

About five years ago, PRMS co-owners Bobby Boyer, Joseph Brown II and Mark Wells merged their smaller businesses into one to combine their areas of expertise and form a full service company.

Boyer earned his electricians masters license in 1989, Brown II earned his plumber’s license and HVAC master license in 1992 and Mark Wells brings his knowledge and 26 years of experience in residential and commercial construction and design.

With each one bringing his specific expertise and database of customers with him, PRMS was uniquely able to offer any restoration or mechanical service necessary for customers, said Shelley Peace, a company consultant.

If something happens related to a fire, flood or other mishap, the company is well-equipped and well-trained to respond, Peace said.

“We have a masters license in heating and air, we can do that, we can do the plumbing, we can do the electric,” she said. “Anything that needs to be done from the ground and up. We’re your one-stop shop for anything that might go wrong.”

The business now employs more than 50 people, including sub-contractors.

“We’re proud of everyone on our team, whether they be technicians or journeymen,” Peace said. “Each one of them has some area of expertise, which helps make the company so successful in this area.”

Q: How has growth in 2012 been at PRMS compared to previous years?

A: “Growth has been steady. We appreciate the fact that a lot of our business is referred to us by our loyal and satisfied customers who have come to rely on PRMS as an integral part of their team.”

Q: With the recent success you’ve had, are there any plans for expansion?

A: “Not at this time. We feel that we’re very fortunate to have an extremely competent staff to efficiently handle our current work load, but we at PRMS will always insist that our technicians offer excellent quality service over the quantity of service.”

Q: What’s the biggest challenge that PRMS has faced in recent years while weathering the effects of the recession?

A: “Because of the loyalty of our existing customer base and contacts that we’ve acquired, we’ve actually been able to strengthen most areas of our business during the recession. We constantly strive to keep our staff educated on new restoration techniques to help us continue to provide the same excellent service to our customers that we’ve provided in

the past.”

Q: What are some recent noteworthy accomplishments?

A: “We are proud that this past year we were awarded the “Provider of the Year” award by one of the local retirement villages that we provide service for. We also participate in several youth sports organizations, as well as helping to support special needs groups and senior living communities.”
