LEBANON — A Warren County grand jury report is expected Monday, Aug. 2, in the case of a Franklin woman who posed as a 14-year old boy to get close to a teenage girl.

Matt Nolan, a Warren County assistant prosecutor, said the case of Patricia Dye, 31, of Franklin, is “still being investigated” and that new evidence is expected to be presented to the grand jury this week.

Dye has been charged with corruption of a minor and unlawful sexual conduct with a minor. The charges stem from an alleged sexual encounter with a 16-year-old Springboro girl. Dye was arrested June 30 by Springboro police and remained in the Butler County Jail Wednesday without bond.

A Springboro police report released July 13 indicated that Dye’s alleged victim ran away from home on her 16th birthday. The report stated that the apartment filthy, including being lice-infested.

The Springboro girl’s mother — who at the time was in Sycamore Hospital recovering from gall bladder surgery — took steps to have the apartment cleaned after authorities learned of its poor conditions while turning the girl over to relatives on June 24, according to the report.

Police on June 24 found the girl wandering the streets of Franklin and without shoes and unfed for three days.

An aunt who took custody of the girl described the apartment that her niece ran away from as having “garbage/clothing knee-deep throughout,” and multiple uncaged animals, according to the report.
