LEBANON — A Mount Vernon man picked up walking near Kings Island on Tuesday, Aug. 3, was headed back to Knox County, Ohio, this morning to face charges of rape, gross sexual imposition and unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, authorities said.

Steven E. Davison Jr., 21, was apprehended — the same day he was indicted on the charges by a Knox County grand jury — by an Ohio Highway Patrol trooper who stopped him walking on Interstate 71 near the Western Row exit in Warren County, according to reports.

Davison is accused of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl on June 18 in Knox County, according to court records. No further details on the case or arrest were immediately available.

This morning, Warren County jail officials said Knox County deputies were transporting Davison back to the central Ohio county.
