The Three Valley Conservation Trust will hold its 10th annual Auction For Acres from 5:30 to 10 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 10 at the Wilks Conference Center on the Miami University Hamilton campus.

The public is invited to make reservations for an evening of gourmet food, adult beverages and great music, along with both a silent and live auction of trips, artwork, services and collector’s items. Donated items for the auction include themed dinners, gift baskets, guided tours, and use of vacation homes, in addition to antiques, hand-knotted oriental rugs and jewelry.

Once again, the annual Trust event will feature entertaining auctioneering provided by Doug Ross.

According to a Trust spokesperson, it is hoped that the event will net more than $50,000 since operating costs for the nationally accredited Trust are derived in part from the Auction’s proceeds. This approach has helped the Trust protect more than 100 properties covering nearly 15,000 acres of farmland, natural habitat, woodlands and streams.

Tickets are $45 if purchased by Oct. 26 and $50 if purchased after that date.

The Trust still is accepting businesses and individuals as sponsors. A tax-deductible sponsorship comes with free tickets to the event and is a good way to promote a business or honor a family. Sponsorships are available at the following levels: $250 for a Sponsor, $500 for a Silver Sponsor, $1,000 for a Gold Sponsor and $3,000 for a Grand Sponsor. TVCT’s goal is to reach 2011’s $18,000 in sponsorships.
