Conditions will be cool and calm Monday before a storm system brings the chance for snow accumulations Tuesday and Wednesday.

Storm Center 7’s forecast shows clouds will increase Monday with a high temperature of 36 and a low of 19 degrees.

A storm system will approach Southwest Ohio from the west by late Monday night, according to Storm Center 7 Meteorologist Rich Wirdzek.

Wirdzek: “As of now, it looks as though snow will arrive west to east during the early morning hours on Tuesday. Snow will mix with sleet later into the day as warmer air moves in from the south … Snow should taper down by Wednesday morning. Several inches of snow are possible in the area, but any mix of sleet and rain will make this a hard storm to accurately measure.”

As slippery roads will be a concern Wednesday, conditions will be colder - and breezy at times - with highs in the mid 30s before wind chills are factored in, according to Storm Center 7 Meteorologist McCall Vrydaghs.

“Road crews will likely have a hard time with the roads on Tuesday and Wednesday because this is not an all snow event,” Vrydaghs said.

Drier air brings sunshine back to the forecast on Thursday with a mixture of sun and clouds. The day is expected to be a bit milder, with highs near 40 degrees.
