Clerks at three businesses were cited for selling alcohol to an underage agent during recent compliance checks by Oxford police.

Individual clerks were cited for underage sales at Speedway on Locust Street and Circle K on Spring Street during a check Oct. 16 and at U Shop on High Street during a check on Oct. 30.

Police will forward the reports to the Ohio Liquor Control Commission and the commission can decide whether to take action against the permit holder.

Businesses that were checked and did not sell to an underage agent were: Super Walmart, KDS, The Colony, Pit Stop, Shell, The Den, Johnny’s Campus Deli, Kroger, Oxford Spirits, SDS, Red Ox Drive Thru and CVS.
