A 22-year-old Miami University student returning to his apartment at College Suites on April 5 reportedly found an unclothed stranger passed out in his roommate’s bed.
Police report the student came home at approximately 2:55 a.m. to find the front door to his residence kicked in and a roommate’s door locked. When he eventually gained access to the locked room, the student told police he discovered an unknown male subject inside along with an unknown, unclothed female who was passed out in a bed.
Hannah Messaros, a 21-year-old Miami University student, allegedly forced her way into the apartment before passing out. The unidentified male who was with her told police he was escorting her home when she broke into the apartment. Messaros reportedly claimed it was her apartment and, after breaking down the door, grabbed a box of cookies from the kitchen and passed out in a nearby bed.
Messaros was transported by the Oxford Life Squad to McCullough-Hyde Memorial Hospital, where she allegedly became combative and refused treatment. Officers attempted to place Messaros under arrest at the hospital, but additional officers had to be called in when she resisted.
Messaros was issued citations for burglary, resisting arrest, obstructing official business and public intoxication and was taken to the Butler County Jail.
