Judge rules in child rape case

HAMILTON — A Liberty Twp. man was acquitted, this morning, April 7, on rape charges but found guilty of child endangerment.

James A. Fitzhugh, 21, was found guilty of two counts of felony child endangering and not guilty of two counts of rape. Butler County Common Pleas Judge Andrew Nastoff made the ruling on the case, the victim in which was a 21-month-old girl.

Fitzhugh last week waived his right to a jury trial.
