HAMILTON — Excessive speed was a factor in a single-vehicle crash late Monday night that sent one man to the hospital, according to Hamilton police.
Police and emergency crews responded to the scene shortly before 10 p.m. March 30.
Jeremi D. Rhodus, 30, 300 block of North C Street of Hamilton, was heading east on Millville Avenue when he attempted to turn left onto Kenworth Avenue and struck a utility pole, police said.
The driver was driving a 1991 Acura Integra and was traveling at approximately 50 miles per hour in a 35 mph zone, police said. He was driving too fast and failed to maintain control of the vehicle, striking a light pole on the northeast corner, said Lt. Michael Lease, Hamilton police traffic division commander.
Rhodus was flown by a medical helicopter to the University of Cincinnati Hospital from The Fort Hamilton Hospital.
Hospital officials said this morning, March 31, Rhodus was still in the ER and was in the process of being admitted.
