Lebanon man indicted on child rape charges
Monday, March 30, 2009
A Lebanon man has been indicted on charges of raping a child under the age of 10, according to the Warren County Prosecutor's Office.
Micah Keaton, 33, of Lebanon was indicted on two counts of rape by the Warren County Grand Jury on Friday, March 27. Both counts are first-degree felonies.
Matt Nolan, spokesman for the prosecutor's office. said Keaton was investigated by the Lebanon Police Department, but would not divulge further information on the investigation because he felt it could reveal the victim's identity.
Keaton was arrested on Friday in Highland County, Ohio, and is expected to be transferred to the Warren County Jail later this week, the prosecutor's office said.
Because the alleged victim is under 10, the law requires a mandatory life sentence on each count if Keaton is convicted, Nolan said.
