HAMILTON — Two illegal immigrants are facing multiple forgery charges following and undercover, according to the Butler County Sheriff's Office.

On Monday, Oct. 6, undercover officers met with Victor Gayton Hernandeez and provided a picture and documents to purchase a forged Social Security card, a forged Illinois identification card and a forged permanent resident card.

According to deputies, Hernandez later delivered the documents to an undercover officer at a Fairfield grocery store and was followed to a local trailer park, where he was arrested. Hernandez charged $400 for the documents and deputies found an additional money on the suspect, deputies said.

During the investigation, it was discovered that Hernandez had two other sets of identification cards ready for delivery. Each set was in an envelope with a name on the outside. It was discovered that people calling Hernandez during the car stop were customers for forged documents ready for delivery, officials said.

Undercover officers were able to make a return call to one subject and set up a meeting to exchange the documents for the balance owed for them.

Rosalio Ruiz-Terrones met with undercover officers at a Hamilton grocery parking lot, where he paid $50, the remaining balance owed for the documents, and took possession of fraudulent documents, officials said. Ruiz-Terrones was immediately taken into custody.

Hernandez, 27, is charged with five counts of felony forgery. Ruiz-Terrones, 28, is charged with one count of misdemeanor forgery. They where booked in to the Butler County Jail. ICE has also placed a holder on both men who admitted to being illegal immigrants from Mexico, according to the sheriff's office.
