SOUTHWEST OHIO —

There appears to be relief at the gas pump as prices are falling below $3 per gallon in some areas.

The lowest spotted in Southwest Ohio as reported to the gasbuddy.com analysts is $2.99 per gallon at three gas stations in Butler County.

Montgomery County’s lowest price reported is $3.07 per gallon at a station in Englewood, though a person who called WHIO’s newsroom earlier Wednesday reported seeing $2.97 per gallon in Huber Heights.

In Springfield, prices are reported between $3.19 and $3.39 per gallon.

The average report in the Cincinnati area is $3.31 per gallon, and Gas Buddy reports that price is falling. The average in Dayton is $3.23 per gallon and falling.
