BOYS BASKETBALL

ROSS 68, MOUNT HEALTHY 61: The visiting Rams notched a Fort Ancient Valley Conference Scarlet Division road win Friday night, Feb. 6, over the Owls (6-11, 2-6). Alex Cole scored a game-high 25 points and snared 13 rebounds for the Rams, who improved to 6-10, 4-4. Casey Vatter added 19 points, and Danny Lane had 14 points and 10 assists for the winners.

LAKOTA EAST 57, SYCAMORE 47: The visiting Thunderhawks improved to 9-7 overall and 5-5 in the Greater Miami Conference with Friday's win over the Aviators (4-11, 2-9). No other details were reported.

MADISON 76, PREBLE SHAWNEE 67: The Mohawks built a 20-point lead Friday, Feb. 6, then withstood a late Arrows rally to post a Southwestern Buckeye League Buckeye Division win. Matt Houser scored 18 points to lead four Mohawks in double figures. Mark Maloney added 17, Justin Brunswick had 16 and Tyler Dietz added 12. Houser and Brunswick grabbed 10 rebounds apiece. Madison, the 12th-ranked Division III team in the state, improved to 13-2, 6-2.

MONROE 64, DIXIE 50: Christian McElroy had a game-high 23 points to lead Monroe to a Southwestern Buckeye League Buckeye Division win over Dixie on Friday night, Feb. 6. Jason Osterman added 16 points and Tyler Haskins had a team-high seven rebounds for the Hornets (4-11, 2-6), who will play host Preble Shawnee on Wednesday.

WRESTLING

ROSS SWEEPS TRI-MATCH: The Rams cruised to a pair of nonleague victories Friday night, Feb. 6, against McNicholas and Indian Hill. Ross beat the Rockets 66-6 and the Braves 67-8. Tyler Fritzche (125) and Chad Laine (145) were the only two Rams to win two matches as both duals featured many forfeited weight classes. Ross returns to action next Saturday at Milford for the Fort Ancient Valley Conference championships.
