Country music star Blake Shelton will soon perform locally to benefit Sojourner, a Butler County chemical dependency treatment facility.

The concert is planned by the same organizers who schedule performances for the Sojourner Recovery Series.

Shelton's performance is going to be at the Aronoff Center's Procter and Gamble Theater and include appearances by singer Linda Davis and former WUBE disc jockey Bill Whyte. The event is set for 7 p.m. Jan. 18. Tickets cost $23-$40 and are available online at www.cicninnatiarts.org or by calling (513) 621-2787.

The concert also is sponsored by Ameridian Specialty Services Inc., Rebel 105.9, Cadillac Ranch and Corken Steel.
