MORGAN TWP. – A 58-year-old woman was in critical condition late Sunday night after a motorcycle crash Sunday afternoon, Oct. 12.

Nettie Smith, 58, of Springfield Twp. was taken to a hospital via medical helicopter after she failed to maintain control of the vehicle around 3:30 p.m. as it rounded a curve at Ohio 126 and South Weaver Road, according to Sgt. Randy Lambert of the Butler County Sheriff's Office.

Smith, who was not wearing a helmet, was transported to University Hospital, where she was listed in critical condition, Lambert said.

Excessive speed and alcohol use did not appear to be factors in the crash, he said.
